Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Bosco, conveniently located just a stone's throw from Surbiton station, I appreciated the blend of luxury and practicality. The spacious room, which featured a balcony, was equipped with an air conditioning unit that proved essential given the season. The bed and pillows allowed for a restful night’s sleep—quite a rarity for me while traveling. The bathroom offered decent amenities, including a shower with good water pressure and complimentary toiletries, although I did encounter unwelcomed cleanliness issues that detracted from the stay. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was inconsistent, and although the staff seemed pleasant, they lacked attentiveness regarding my connectivity concerns. The buffet breakfast was satisfactory, though I expected more than just a cold selection given the hotel’s overall ambiance. In terms of value, Bosco demonstrates potential, with its ideal positioning for access to Kingston and amenities that align with a luxury experience. Considerations regarding housekeeping and guest engagement could refine the experience for future travelers. As an archaeologist, I appreciate when the historical charm of an area is matched by a hotel that complements it, yet there remains room for improvement in fulfilling that promise.
